  • Congratulations!! Odenville Elementary School is a Title I School as a percentage of our students who receive free and reduced lunch meals. This allows our school to recieve federal dollars. Along with federal, state, and local funds, our school is able to operate and upgrade the instructional teaching for our school.
  • As a Title I school, you will now have additional opportunities to academically advance all students through additional staff and technology updates.
  • Title I is directly connected to the "Every Student Succeeds Act" so resources are used to ensure that all students are getting the tools they need to succeed in learning and families are involved in decision making for their students.
  • Title I is designed to help students achieve proficiency  on challenging State academic achievement standards.
  • Our School must use instructional strategies based on scientifically based research and implement parental involvement activities.
  • OES has achieved a rank of more than 40% Free and Reduced Lunch status making us eligibale to receive Title I funds as 45.55% are Free lunch and 10.88% are reduced lunch eaters!! (56%).
  • You as parents are entitled to know the qualifications of those that teach your child. You may request this information from Mrs. Urban
  • All OES staff meet 100% State Certification Standards to teach all requires subjects to your child.
  • There are no barriers to enrollment in our school system. By federal law and relevant court orders, as well as the Alabama Department of Education directives, who are zoned to attend the St. Clair County Schools who are homeless, migrant, non English Speaking, immigrant, or disabled will have access to a free, appropriate education.
  • Any School system with a Title I allocation exceeding $500,000 is required to set aside 1% of it's allocation to Parental Involvement. Our School System does this to help our Parent Liason, Alice Brown, serve your child's needs and our county needs.

A certain amount of funding ges to purchase supplies for these teachers as other teachers recieve state money for supply purchases. There is $1596.41 left to budget to spend on other resources. Title I will help fund Computer Software Program Pebble Go which totals $1,000. The remaining $596.41 will go towards Computer Hardware needs for our teachers and staff,
